Tourism Innovation Summit 2024 Showcases Innovation, Collaboration, and Technology in the Global Travel Sector, Uniting more than 7,000 Exhibitors in Seville, Spain

Thursday, October 24, 2024

The Tourism Innovation Summit (TIS) 2024, the leading event on tourism innovation starts from October 23-25 in Seville, Spain, bringing together global travel industry leaders and top executives to discuss how tourism companies can adopt disruptive strategies to improve operational efficiency, optimize revenue, and meet the evolving demands of the global market.

Focusing on the European tourism sector, a key pillar of the continent’s economy, TIS 2024 will address the importance of technology in maintaining competitiveness. Experts, including Morgann Lesné from Cambon Partners and Bobby Demri from Roch Ventures, will examine the mismatch between Europe’s large tourism market and its technology funding, a gap that has hindered its growth over the past 15 years. The summit will also explore how new regulations are stimulating innovation, particularly in sustainability, and how the European startup ecosystem is poised to lead the next technological revolution in travel.

One of the summit’s key themes will be collaboration across sectors. Leaders like Jorge A. Vasaro from Nuevo Leon’s Ministry of Tourism, Emily Weiss from Accenture, and Boon Sian Chai from Trip.com will share insights on how strategic partnerships between consulting firms, digital platforms, tour operators, and technology companies are reshaping tourism to deliver more customer-centric and sustainable solutions.

Operational efficiency will also take center stage, with discussions on how innovative technologies such as automation, cloud computing, and data analytics are transforming the daily operations of hotels, online travel agencies (OTAs), and tour operators. Experts such as Alvaro Rubio from SiteMinder and Diego Fernandez from Port Hotels will present case studies on how these technologies are reducing costs, improving profitability, and enhancing customer experiences.

The summit will host a Revenue Management Forum to showcase how advanced tools like dynamic pricing and demand forecasting are maximizing profitability for tourism companies. Industry leaders such as Álvaro Repetto from Kampaoh and Neville Isaac from Taiga Resorts will demonstrate how real-time price adjustments based on demand, competition, and consumer behavior are driving success in hotels and OTAs.

Lastly, investor engagement will be a crucial topic at TIS 2024. Venture capital experts such as Jesus Rodriguez Maseda from Savills and Suzanna Chiu from Amadeus Ventures will offer practical advice on attracting funding to fuel technology-driven growth in the tourism sector.
